High-quality timber constructions and assembly since 1987
By experience: Our building method
The acquired experience, the knowledge of the materials to use and the special characteristics of our region has allowed us to develop very functional constructive solutions, based on American traditional constructive techniques. We incorporated new materials and techniques originating from the latest technological advances.
Foundations
Very solid and consistent, adapted to the respective ground, with reinforced concrete.
Base plate on supports:
Base plate made of reinforced concrete; supports establish distance to the ground.
Advantages:
- Insulation of the building
- No penetration of soil humidity
- Simple access to installations and drains
- Protection from environmental influenceswird (Rahmenbauweise).
Structure
This is the skeleton of the building, established using the traditional American building method, consisting of a framework of treated wood, reinforced by diagonals in places important for the statics (framework building method).
These are extraordinarily stable structures which can easily stand strong temperature and humidity fluctuations and/or gusts of wind.
Outer and inner walls
They fulfil both a functional and an aesthetic function. Hereby we are taking the desires of our clients into account. The wooden outer walls are protected from light, humidity and parasites. Regarding the inner and partition walls the customer has the choice between wood, plaster, brick-work, tiles, etc.
Roof and ceilings
As an important component, they provide stability and more homeliness to the house. The optical impression is also a decisive element. An aesthetic layout of the rooms plays a large role in our timber constructions; moreover, the roof structure should remain visible from the inside.
We employ traditional and established materials - outside bricks and inside wood – as far as composites are concerned, we only use state-of-the art technology – our houses are insulated with water resistant polymer foils, which breathe.
